We work on research projects with international participation
Experts of SYNPO, akciova spolecnost with experts from SPA 2000 s.r.o. and the University of the Azores, Agencia Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas are involved in the development of a new material composed of biodegradable plastic (lactic acid-based) reinforced with plant fibers obtained from invasive plants from the Azores and antibacterial glass. Butterfly fibers, which are biodegradable and have a renewable origin, and enable the production of packaging from composite material with the possibility of replacing disposable plastics. At a time when the planet is already showing clear signs of degradation, with a lot of pollution and accumulation of waste, the use of this 100% natural raw material has a significant contribution to ecological sustainability within the concept of a circular economy. Dedication to the project:
TH06020002 PLA composites reinforced with plant fibers with antimicrobial properties for applications in the packaging industry.
