New Epoxy Composites - Improving the Properties of Epoxy Composites Used in Aviation

SYNPO is the holder of the project "New epoxy composites - improving the properties of epoxy composites used in aviation", which is co-financed by Technologická agentura ČR (Call for proposalsSTA02023FW060, project number FW06010094).
The project is focused on the development and subsequent production of composite coatings and modified matrices for fiber reinforced polymers with improved properties due to the content of boron compounds in the polymer matrices. The new material will exhibit: mechanical properties high above the glass transition (Tg) of the epoxy matrix, increased thermal conductivity, chemical and corrosion resistance, hydrophobicity, increased heat resistance and reduced flammability, improved abrasion and reduced friction. The project will result in a functional sample of polyborazylene as a filler in polymer matrices and a functional sample of a new composite epoxy mixture based on it. Proven technology of preparation will be designed for both materials.
