28th Conference on Corrosion and Corrosion Protection of Materials

28th Conference on Corrosion and Corrosion Protection of Materials, held on 12–14 November 2025 at the LIONS Hotel in Nesuchyně. The conference is organized by the Association of Corrosion Engineers (AKI).

The event is a traditional gathering of corrosion engineers from both the industrial and academic spheres. It provides a rare opportunity for constructive dialogue between practitioners from the chemical, energy, and petrochemical industries, among others, and corrosion researchers. Everyone has the chance to establish new contacts and gain new experience and knowledge thanks to the constructive criticism of a technically skilled audience, feedback from industry professionals, or, on the other hand, the broad theoretical perspective of academics.

For the seventh year in a row, the conference opened with an industry symposium—a full-day block of practically oriented lectures focused on a selected industrial field. This year, the symposium centered on inhibitors in corrosion protection. The second day of the conference was dedicated to thematic sessions such as corrosion protection by surface treatments, corrosion in the automotive industry, corrosion of storage facilities and cathodic protection, atmospheric corrosion, corrosion in power engineering and cooling circuits, corrosion of biomaterials, corrosion of metallic heritage objects, and corrosion testing and monitoring.
