From Our History – Building the Complex

After its founding, the enterprise was located on the premises of the national enterprise Synthesia Semtín until 1950.

In 1950, the institute acquired the building of the former Institute for the Advancement of Trades on Třída Míru, which became its new headquarters. This enabled significant personnel growth. It was here that the institute's management began to encounter issues related to research planning in Czechoslovakia, regional development, and the approval or disapproval of various authorities — in other words, challenges that accompanied the institute until 1958. That year marked the official start of construction of a large research facility, including a pilot plant and mechanical workshops. The construction was completed in 1963.

We are pleased to present details of the ongoing construction, as recorded in the company chronicle, along with archival photographs, in the form of a video.
