Seminar on Composite Delamination

Ing. Ondřej Škola from our testing laboratory attended the Composite Delamination Seminar on 13 November, organized by the expert group Mechanics of Composite Materials and Structures of the Czech Society for Mechanics, with support from the VZLU AEROSPACE, a.s. (research center) and the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

The seminar included the following lectures:

• Introduction to the issue of interlaminar loading of composites
• Stress in curved beams and plates
• Delamination of anisotropic disks caused by centrifugal force and temperature changes
• Application of modal acoustic emission for the classification of damage mechanisms in composite structures
• Test methods for interlaminar loading
